It’s easy to see why Winter Wonderland is one of London’s most popular festive attractions. Taking over a sizeable chunk of Hyde Park, the event features the UK’s largest ice rink, a tempting Christmas market, the giant observation wheel, family favourite Zippos Circus and the Bavarian Village, where you can always find a sizzling sausage and a warming cup of mulled wine.
New for 2012 is the Magical Ice Kingdom, which has been sculpted over four months from more than 200 tons of ice.
Visitors will wander through the glittering pathways and come across a variety of crystal-like characters, animals and objects. Neither children nor adults will resist taking the slide in the ice castle or sitting in the unicorn-pulled ice carriage – but will they dare to approach the lair of the ice dragon?
