Chief Steward

To ensure accurate receipt of orders, we require precise and methodical Goods Receiving/Purchasing Procedures. You will be hands on when checking, receiving and storing deliveries and also responsible for inputting orders and stock figures onto our computer system. 

This important role requires a determined individual who can demonstrate implementing new standards across all Back of House areas by leading and motivating our Back of House Team. You will have a flexible, hands on approach with a keen eye for detail to ensure kitchen hygiene, equipment, table top goods and waste disposal is managed effectively. Areas of accountability will include the following:

  • Manpower control within budget, training and direction of staff and staff reviews and appraisals.
  • Implementation of safe and cost effective work practices and standards
  • Stock control and purchasing of cleaning chemicals
  • Cleaning and waste disposal for all Back of House areas including deep cleaning schedules and implementation
  • Reporting for maintenance issues and stock losses
  • Liasing with the Executive Head Chef on all aspects of the kitchen management.

This role requires energy, drive and a passion to improve standards. Successful applicants will have at least 2-3 years experience in hotel operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate looking for their first Management step.
